Our website, www.goout.net (hereinafter referred to as "the website"), uses cookies as well as other related technologies. For the sake of simplicity, we will mark all these technologies as "cookies" from here on out.

This company will hereafter be referred to as "GoOut".

2. What are Cookies?

Cookies are small pieces of data (files) sent by websites that are saved to any device that you use to access the website from. Every time you visit the same website again, your browser will then send this data back to the server.

4. Why does GoOut use Cookies?

They ensure that the website runs correctly.

They enable us to anonymously analyze our customers' behavior on the website, thus helping us make GoOut and its content even more user friendly, relevant, and better in general.

We also use Cookies for these purposes:

  • Retargeting. This means displaying ads for events you were looking at on the website, as well as other content that is relevant for you.
  • Anonymized statistics in web browsers, such as Google, Seznam, etc.
  • Retargeting and anonymized statistics on social media sites, such as Instagram, Facebook, etc.

5. Third party Cookies

There is a possibility that additional Cookies might be saved to your device. These are Cookies of advertising operators that run ads on websites that you visit. The purpose of these Cookies is to optimize content targeting and thus allow the ads to be tailored specifically for you (retargeting). GoOut uses the following retargeting systems:

  • Facebook Ireland Limited - online ads;
  • Google Ireland Limited - analysis of user behavior on the website, online ads in the Adwords system;
  • Seznam.cz, a.s. - online ads in the Sklik system.

GoOut uses this data solely to be able to deliver the most precise advertisement available for its users. For this purpose, we divide users into segments which are created based on several user behavior patterns. Should you wish to opt out and not be a part of either the segment analysis or retargeting, you may shut those Cookies off in your setting (see part 3: How to set your Cookies).

The purpose of GoOut is to offer complex multi-media content through which each user will be able to get all the information about any event they might need. This is the reason why we sometimes allow third party content to appear on the website - for example YouTube videos. It is important to note that while loading the website, users may be subjected to third party Cookies and analyses run by these third party content providers. Should you wish to opt out of this - not only third party Cookies, but all third party content in general - you can use your browser settings. Furthermore, it is important to note that these Cookies might also be used by Event Promoters on GoOut, but only within the events run specifically by them.

6. What kinds of Cookies does GoOut use?

6.1. Technical Cookies

Technical Cookies ensure that our website works well and your user preferences are being kept for you whenever you decide to visit again. Thanks to these Cookies, you are not required to enter the same data over and over again - for example, if you decide to purchase a ticket but leave the page before payment, your ticket will still be in your basket when you come back. Without these Cookies, our website would basically not work. These are saved automatically for every user who visits GoOut.

6.2. Analytical Cookies

Analytical Cookies are being used to optimize the website for our customers' comfort. This is how we gather information and statistical data about the various ways in which our customers use the website. Everything is, of course, anonymized. Such data may encompass information about how many users visit the website during each day, how many users buy tickets on the website, etc.

6.3. Marketing Cookies

Marketing Cookies are files used to create user profiles or show advertisements. If you allow these cookies, it will help us show you content tailored specifically to you - this might mean that we will let you know when your favorite artist has a new presale, when a theater you frequent puts out a new play, etc. This also applies to social media, other websites, and other apps.

6.4. Social Media Cookies

We have added Facebook, Instagram, Spotify, LinkedIn, Twitter, and YouTube widgets to the website. You may use them to let other people know about GoOut on your favorite social media - "like" our content or Facebook, share it on Twitter, etc. These widgets work thanks to small pieces of code parsed from these social media sites, and these pieces of code contain Cookies. Thus, our widgets might also save and use some data, allowing these sites to personalize ads that are being shown to you. Should you wish to opt out of this, just refrain from using these widgets. That way, no data will be transferred.

Please take your time to read Privacy Policies of these social media sites in order to be fully aware of what they are using this data for. Regardless, any data that comes from Cookies is still highly anonymized no matter the source.
