Instructions for usage of services of GoOut.net

1. Installation of Zebra printer on Windows

  1. The printer must be before the installation disconnected and switched off.
  2. Download Zebra Designer Driver for Zebra GK 420d on the website Zebra. Click on Drivers and then Download and start the installation.
  3. After the installation turn on the printer, Windows should install it.
  4. Devices and printers -> with the right button click on the printer -> printing preferences. Set: Units=mm, Width=69, Height=146, Orientation=Inverted 180 degrees, advanced settings: Web Sensing, resolution: none.
  5. Devices and printers -> with the right button click on the printer -> choose printing properties. In advanced preferences select Print directly on printer
  6. Insert print paper with blank side up, calibration mark must meet the sensor at the same spot. Hold the button on the printer until the second flash - the printer will calibrate itself and paper will align for printing.
  7. Print out a label: to place it on the printer.
  8. Print out a testing ticket: testing event.

2. Installation of Zebra printer on Mac OS X

  1. Turn on the printer and connect it to a computer.
  2. Open System Preferences -> Printers & Scanners -> Find the '+' button (on the left) and click it to add the printer -> Zebra Technologies... -> Add -> Choose a Driver -> Select Software -> Find a Zebra printer -> Select Zebra ZPL Label Printer and press OK.
  3. Open this link: zebra.command In your browser, select File -> Save. It should be labeled as a .txt file - zebra.command.txt. Erase the .txt part and save the file on your desktop as zebra.command.
  4. Launch the Terminal app, which you should find in Apps; if not, use the Spotlight search.
  5. Once Terminal is launched, write: cd Desktop; chmod +x zebra.command and press ENTER. If everything works fine, nothing will appear. In case of error, make sure you have saved the zebra.command file correctly (it has to be on your desktop).
  6. Click the zebra.command file on your desktop. An error should appear - do not worry, this is expected.
  7. Open System Preferences -> Security and Privacy -> Click on the keylock icon and type in your password -> Go to the General tab. You should find this message: "zebra.command" was blocked from use because it is not from an identified developer. There should however still be an option to Open anyway. Click on it.
  8. Every time you turn the printer on, you will need to open this file by clicking it on your desktop.

  10. Select: File -> Print -> Paper size -> Manage custom sizes, the last item on the list.
  11. Press the ‘+’ button to add a new item (you can name it ‘Ticket’). Set the size to 69 mm width and 146 mm height. All other fields should remain null. Press save.
  12. System Preferences -> Printers -> Zebra -> Default paper size -> select ‘Ticket’ from the previous step.
  13. Print out a label: to place it on the printer.
  14. Print out a testing ticket: testing event.
